17 inch German porcelain doll with porcelain feet and hands, Victorian era
This is a doll I discovered as a girl in the 70’s, looking through some boxes stored away in my great grandparents old small country store. They were from Germany originally. Imagine my delight as a young girl finding a doll like this! Her clothes were dark brown from age and thanks to oxiclean, they now look lovely, despite some small holes and a couple little tears on the outer garment. The snaps are also missing from the outer dress. The doll itself is from Germany, probably early 1900’s, She is in excellent condition, note the imperfections on her feet and spot on the back of the head in the photos. She has been stored in a smoke free home. Thanks for looking!
