RARE Early Antique Bisque Head French TANAGRA Bebe Doll Marked 10P PARIS 24″
This lovely, sweet French TANAGRA Bebe Doll is a rare find for any collector. Made with a bisque head (bisque is peppered as shown which happened when fired) and measuring approx. 24 inches, she was manufactured in about 1917. The doll has blonde hair, beautiful deep brown set eyes, and an open mouth with teeth. This antique doll is marked “TANAGRA” within a triangle, “10P” “PARIS” as pictured. This is the real deal as I do not sell reproductions. This maker is listed on page 1140 of the Collectors Encyclopedia of Dolls Volume 2. The Tanagra name was used by the Socit Industrielle de Jouets Francaise (successor to H. Delcourt) so her mark could be reflective of that. Definitely an early French Doll that is Very Rare! It is a must-have for anyone who loves old hard to find dolls. Add this rare gem to your collection today!
