A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST:Dear Collector, As I am sure you know, my sculpture reflects my love oflittle children — children of all sizes, shapes and colors! I havealways fould children from other countries to be especiallyenchanting when dressed in traditional costume. When my own two girls were younger, I saw a littleGerman girl in a tradiional outfit, and I recall that she seemedto look like an enchanted princess from a fairy tale. I just fell inlove with that costme and had two made for my girls. Many years later I found those outfits while cleaning outour attic, and they inspired me to sculpt Gretchen. It was somuch fun to bring back the memories of that time long ago!I thank you for choosingGretchen. I hope that she brings oumany years of pleasure, and adds a little internaional flair toyour collection. Please ask any questions prior to ordering!
