This listing is for an antique, circa 1900s, bisque porcelain head doll with a composition body by Schoenau & Hoffmeister Porzzellanfabrik Burggrub. The doll is 24 inches long with a jointed composition body. She is jointed at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, and knees. She has a bisque porcelain socket head with brown glass sleep eyes. Her face is hand painted with rosy cheeks and lips, and brown eyelashes and eyebrows. Her mouth is partially open with 4 exposed teeth and a dimple in her chin. She has a set of plain dress clothes with undergarments, socks, shoes and a hat most likely not original to the doll. The doll is marked on the back of her head “SHPB 1909 Germany” along with a star. This is for Schoenau & Hoffmeister Porzzellanfabrik Burggrub which was located in Sonneburg, Germany.
