This particular mold is frequently attributed to Kestner, a renowned German dollmaker active during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Oh the dimples!!!!! This sweet German doll is in good condition, but not perfect. Body has some issues on the compo which you can see in the pictures. Head at first I thought I saw a crack but it was the seam on the side of the head as you can see in the pics with the flashlight there are no cracks. The head will be packed and eyes secured for safe shipping as well as loads and loads of bubble wrap. Her hair is mohair and needs a little care.

Her stringing remains tight with strong, pose-holding joints, showing only a very slight looseness at the neck socket. The antique cotton slip exhibits light age-related foxing and staining. Crafted in Germany circa 1890s, this mold 204 model features a creamy bisque head with lovely, high cheek color, pierced ears, and a surprisingly lush mohair pate wig framing her face.
