Antique boudoir doll in authentic clothing. 1919.

Antique boudoir doll in authentic clothing. 1919. “Teacher with glasses.” Soft body. Very beautiful shoes, simply stunning. The doll is tall – 62 cm. Boudoir dolls, which appeared in the early 1910s thanks to the French couturier Paul Poiret, were originally created as luxury interior items and fashion accessories for adults, not as toys for children. Interestingly, a girl could often receive such a doll as a gift or commission one for herself, with her own face and even the clothes she wore. She could appear at a party with such a doll to entertain or pamper others, and then keep it in her bedroom. The doll is in good condition. ?
