Antique SIMON & HALBIG 22″ Bisque & Composition Young Lady DOLL ~ Germany #1078
Item: This is a lovely antique doll created by the Simon & Halbig Doll Company of Germany. They created dolls from 1869 to 1920. This doll was most likely created between 1900 & 1905. She is marked on the back of her neck with the #1078 along with the manufacturer’s mark as shown in the photos. She has blue glass sleep eyes, full eyelashes, & a human hair wig. Her wig is styled into a lovely chignon. She has a fully articulatated composition body & limbs. I’m not sure if her dress is original but it is old & has a bit of deterioation on the fabric.
